About Ramsey Yusuf, M.D.

Ramsey Yusuf, M.D., is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Dr. Yusuf earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Chemistry from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Yale School of Medicine, where he also served in several leadership and mentoring roles. His postgraduate training includes an Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by both residency and fellowship at the esteemed Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he honed his clinical and surgical expertise in ophthalmology and glaucoma.

Throughout his academic and professional journey, Dr. Yusuf has remained committed to research and education. He is widely published in leading ophthalmology and medical journals, with work addressing complex topics such as pseudoexfoliation glaucoma, pediatric ocular trauma, and ocular manifestations of systemic disease. He has presented at national and international conferences and contributed to groundbreaking research on healthcare disparities, tumor immunology in HIV populations, and virtual ophthalmic education. His dedication to patient care is deeply influenced by his interest in equitable access to vision care and improving health outcomes for underserved populations.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yusuf enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, writing, and multimedia editing. He brings to Marietta Eye Clinic not only a wealth of clinical experience and academic achievement but also a passion for mentorship and community engagement. He looks forward to serving patients with compassion and excellence while continuing to advance in the field of ophthalmology through ongoing research and innovation.
