Marietta Eye Welcomes Skilled Cornea Specialist, Mark Morel, M.D., to Practice

Marietta Eye Clinic is thrilled to introduce a remarkable addition to our team,  Mark Morel, M.D.  An esteemed ophthalmologist hailing from Atlanta, GA, Dr. Morel brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate spirit to our clinic.

Dr. Morel’s specialties include Comprehensive Opthalmology, Cornea, Cornea Transplantation, Cataract and laser Cataract Surgery, LASIK, PRK, and Dry Eye.

His journey into medicine began with a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He further honed his skills through a comprehensive residency and fellowship in cornea at Emory University.

Dr. Morel’s accomplishments include groundbreaking research in Neurotrophic Keratitis and Ocular Cicatricial Pemphigoid, shedding light on these intricate ocular conditions. His commitment to helping others extends beyond his practice, with volunteer work at Grady Hospital, St. Francis in Chicago, The Teddy Bear Hospital, and Clarkston Clinic.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Morel enjoys watching movies, soccer, basketball, and golf, showcasing his diverse interests. He is also a talented painter and an avid rock climber.

In his leisure moments, you’ll find him indulging in Peanut M&Ms and passionately cheering for the Atlanta Hawks. His cherished Australian Shepherd holds a special place in his heart, akin to a beloved family member.

Today, Dr. Morel is fueled by the aspiration to enhance people’s vision, allowing them to experience life in all its visual splendor. His unwavering dedication to the field of ophthalmology is a testament to his commitment to this noble cause.
