Marietta Eye Clinic Welcomes Emily Laga, O.D. and Holly Gutierrez, O.D.

Marietta Eye Clinic, known for providing life-changing patient outcomes, is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Laga, O.D., and  Holly Gutierrez, O.D. to its active optometry staff. Dr. Laga and Dr. Gutierrez will provide primary care optometry, with a specialty in ocular disease, and ocular surgery co-management.

Dr. Laga earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry after attending the University of South Florida where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and graduated magna cum laude. She completed her residency in Primary Eye Care/Ocular Disease at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Laga will be seeing patients at Marietta Eye Clinic’s Kennestone and Canton locations.

Dr. Gutierrez earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry after attending Mars Hill College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Gutierrez will be seeing patients at Marietta Eye Clinic’s Kennestone, Canton, Acworth, and Towne Lake locations.

Dr. Laga enjoys hiking, playing volleyball, and reading! She also enjoys listening to podcasts and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Laga loves animals and exploring local restaurants! Dr. Gutierrez, on the other hand, enjoys spending time at the lake with her family, golfing, and watching her sons play sports. Dr. Gutierrez was the assistant coach of the Varsity Basketball team at Murphy High School, leading them to two state championships in 2020 and 2021!
