About Crystal Sol, O.D., Diplomate ABO

Crystal Sol, O.D. was born in South Korea and raised in York, PA.   She pursued her higher education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Throughout her academic journey, she actively participated in the Pre-Optometry club and gained invaluable experience as an intern at Wills Eye Hospital. Immersed in the world of optometry, her interactions with numerous optometrists fueled her growing passion for the field.

Seeking to deepen her expertise, Dr. Sol enrolled in the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. During her time there, she enthusiastically engaged in a mentoring program for her fellow classmates and pursued additional education in Ocular Disease. Recognizing her dedication, the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) honored her with the prestigious Student Fellowship Award. To further broaden her practical skills, she completed a fourth-year externship at Newsom Eye in Tampa, Florida, as well as the Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital.

In her free time, Dr. Sol loves to travel and collect souvenir magnets from the places she has visited.  She also enjoys reading, watching movies, and drawing.  An interesting fact, originally she wanted to be an Art major to pursue oil painting.

Dr. Sol is motivated each day by making a positive difference in her patient’s vision.
