About Dr. Saunders

Dr. Brian Saundersunderstands the individual patient needs and aspires to educate his patients about their condition and help them understand their treatment options. Dr. Saunders is committed to helping low vision and partially sighted patients of all ages do the visual tasks they most want to do such as reading, seeing faces, watching television, driving, playing cards, and writing. Dr. Saunders’ goal is to improve the quality of life by improving vision and helping the partially sighted to become more independent. Common low vision conditions that Dr. Saunders works with are macular degenerations, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, albinism, and Stargardt’s disease. When not at work, Dr. Saunders can be foundvolunteering with the South Cobb Lions Club where heholds quarterly vision clinics to serve the less fortunate. Dr. Saunders also provides vision care for his church through international missionaries and Mercy Mobile Patients. Weekends for the Saunders family includes outdoor activities such as hiking the North Georgia mountains, fishing, kayaking, and other adventurous activities that the entire family can enjoy together! Dr. Saunders is married with three children, all doctors, and muiltiple grandchildren. “Serving in the medical field is truly a family calling.”
