About Bryan Thiel, M.D.

Dr. Thiel attended medical school at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando. He completed an internship at Ascension-St. Joseph’s Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Phi Eta Sigma, Alpha Omega Alpha, and the Wisconsin Ophthalmology Association. Dr. Thiel enjoys hiking, exploring different trails with his two dogs, traveling, and visiting national parks. He is an avid board and card game player and enjoys attending live comedy shows, as well as concerts. He has lived in Japan, Guam, and Hawaii, and is excited to settle down in Georgia.

When meeting the eye care providers at Marietta Eye Clinic, Dr. Thiel expressed his biggest motivation, stating:

“As a surgeon, I am motivated by the new advancements in technology in ophthalmology. As an example, cataract surgery has evolved over the last several decades with new techniques developed and improvements in implanted artificial lenses. By being up to date on the newest technologies available, I aim to continue to provide the best visual outcomes possible for my patients.”
