We are excited to offer you the option of telemedicine services. This service will allow you to have a medical appointment with your eye doctor via secure and interactive audio/video equipment. You will be able to speak in real time with your eye doctor during your telemedicine appointment.
If you should have an emergency and are unable to keep the telemedicine visit with your physician, it is your responsibility to call the Marietta Eye Clinic at (770) 427-8111 to cancel your appointment. Understand that your insurance will be billed by the Marietta Eye Clinic for telemedicine services.
Your visit may be conducted via a telephone call or video call using the PocketPatient app. You will learn whether or not a video call will be required when you call to schedule your appointment.
If your visit will be a telephone call, be prepared to receive the call around the time given to you. You may not be able to see the phone number that is calling you. If you are only having a phone call with your physician, you do not need to download the app below.
If your visit requires video capabilities, you will need to download “PocketPatient” on your smartphone or tablet ahead of your appointment time. You will need to know your username and password for the Marietta Eye Clinic patient portal. If you have never logged into your patient portal for the Marietta Eye Clinic or you have forgotten your password, please call (770) 427-8111 and ask for Medical Records. We can email you a link to reset your password.
Open the patient pocket application. You will be asked for your last name and date of birth. Depending on your device, you may be asked if you would like to enable your camera and/or microphone. Choose “yes” or “allow” for both. You may also be asked if you would like to allow notifications. It is strongly recommended that you choose “yes” or “allow” so that you can receive real-time updates on the status of your video appointment.
Once you are logged in, click on the blue “Join Video Visit” link under “Appointments.”
