Leonard M. Thurschwell, O.D.
Dr. Thurschwell received his O.D. degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Brooklyn College, the City University of New York. Postgraduate training included a residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where he also served as a clinical assistant professor. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of several optometric societies including the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.
He prides himself on developing a warm relationship with his patients and thoroughly evaluating their visual system to provide the best corrective lenses and/or diagnose abnormalities that may compromise their vision.
His interests range from sports to photography and spending free time with his wife and two children.
Dr. Thurschwell splits his time between three office locations and works one Saturday a month for patients who cannot schedule an appointment during the week. He can be found at our main office in Marietta, South Cobb location in Austell, and in East Cobb.
