Byron A. Long, M.D.
Dr. Long is an oculoplastic sub-specialist who performs plastic and reconstructive surgery, repairs abnormal tear duct systems, treats trauma to the eye and around the eye and brow area, and performs orbital reconstruction following facial trauma. He was one of only 12 recipients of oculoplastic fellowships offered in the United States each year. He completed his fellowship at the world-renown Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Long graduated from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia with a B.S. in biology and a B.S. in marketing. He received his M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. He was an intern at the University of Virginia – Roanoke Memorial Hospital followed by a three-year residency in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Long is a member of the Phi Sigma Biological Honor Society, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
He primarily sees patients at our Marietta, Austell, and Canton offices.
