Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi-110029, India. In 1991 he began his fellowship in Retina-Vitreous Surgery at Aravind Eye Hospital 1, Anna Nagar, Maduri. He became a Medical Officer, Retina Department, Aravind Eye Hospital 1, Anna Nagar, Madurai-625 020, India in 1992. In 1993 he completed an Internship in Internal Medicine, Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, New York, NY. He went on to continue a Fellowship in Retina and Vitreous Surgery from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport , LA 1996. In 1999 he became the Instructor of Vitreo-retinal surgery, Department of Ophthalmology, Louisiana State University Health Science Center. Dr. Kooragayala completed his Residency in Ophthalmology, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, LA 2002.
