Denise A. Johnson, MD
Dr. Johnson, who joined Marietta Eye Clinic in March 2006, is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine In Philadelphia, PA.
She completed her Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami, Miami, FL, and started her residency requirements at the University of South Florida Eye Institute in Tampa, FL. Her residency was completed at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. While serving in the US Air Force, she was Chief of Ophthalmology at Florida’s MacDill AFB for two years. She was Chief Of Ophthalmology at Alaska’s Elmendorf AFB for three years.
Dr. Johnson is a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology and The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Johnson has a particular interest in treating patients with dry eye disease, and has taken a leadership role with the Dry Eye Center at our Windy Hill office. She is bilingual and welcomes Spanish-speaking patients. Dr. Johnson sees patients at the Windy Hill office as well as at the Main office in Marietta.
