The Marietta Eye Clinic, founded in 1967, is a full-time comprehensive eye care center consisting of six offices located in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Patient services include adult and pediatric eye examinations, cataract, laser and refractive surgery (including LASIK), and optical dispensing of eyeglasses and contact lenses. The main office is located on Canton Road in Marietta in a beautiful 20,000 square foot facility. At Marietta Eye Clinic, we strive to provide the most complete and comprehensive eye care available. Ophthalmic Assistant/Technican

Job Description:
You will be a working directly with patients in our Clinical Services Department taking histories and performing basic vision testing. You will assist the technicians and physicians in a variety of areas.

Qualifications include:
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a private practice setting.
  • Demonstrated success in clinical problem solving and patient relations.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Preference given for certification and experience in surgical practice.
Experienced Ophthalmic Technician (Multiple Positions Available- Austell & Canton)

Job Description:
Responsible for daily patient care and flow of pod activities. Promptly and professionally assists the doctor in patient care. Performs technical workups, patient interviews and special testing. Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, procedures, changes in schedule, symptoms, surgery scheduling, etc.

Qualifications include:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience or training in this or similar position.
  • Successful completion of JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician requirements.
  • Position requires good understanding of ophthalmic practice and patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical instrumentation and its proper care and usage needed.
  • Ability to assess common safety hazards and take precautions to establish a safe work environment required.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, co-workers and supervisor is critical.
  • Must be willing to help in all areas and understand the need for efficient use of time.
  • Minimum of two years ophthalmic experience required.
  • Must be enthusiastic, flexible and a team player.
