What is NextMD Patient Portal?
Our NextMD patient portal is a secure website that enables you to have a direct online way of communicating with our practice.   You may send communications via the portal at anytime (24/7), so you have the added convenience of not having to contact us only during regular business hours.
 
What are the features of NextMD Patient Portal?
The site gives you the option of filling out annual forms that are required once every year, send messages concerning medications or medical questions, and managing your appointments with us. The annual forms located on the patient portal are equivalent to those that our patients receive when they come in for their annual visit and needs to be updated every year. The patient portal also allows our patients to ask questions that will be directed to our employees as we work to provide you with a timely response. Appointments can also be made using the patient portal by sending a request to our practice with the approximate date, time, doctor, location, and the type of appointment you would like and we will get back to you to inform you of availability.
 
Is it mandatory to have a NextMD account?
No, it is not mandatory for our patients to register for a NextMD account since the portal is specifically designed to assist our patients. The NextMD patient portal provides our patients with efficient means of communicating with our practice and assisting them with maintaining their appointments and annual forms.
 
When does my Token Number expire?
Each patient’s unique token number expires 30 days after the day the email containing the token number is sent to the patient.
 
What should I do if my Token Number expires before I register on the NextMD website?
If your token number expires before you get the chance to register for a NextMD account please call the Patient Portal helpline so that we can provide you with a new token number.
 
How soon do I need to complete my annual forms?
If you choose to complete your annual forms through our NextMD patient portal we would prefer that our patients submit completed forms 24 hours before their upcoming appointment.
 
I already have a NextMD account from another practice, do I need to create another one?
No, if you already have an existing account you can simply just add Marietta Eye Clinic to it. You can do so by selecting the “Manage Practices” link located on the left panel of the NextMD website after you login to your account and provide your token number and email address.
What if I only received an email with my token number, and not a second email from NextMD?
Your token number will come from noreply@mariettaeye.com, however the email from NextMD comes from portal@mariettaeye.com. If you do not receive two separate emails, please check your spam folder. If you have received your token number, please visit www.nextmd.com to begin your enrollment or contact our portal helpline, and we will resend the email.
