As we age, our skin changes and over time the natural volume of our skin begins to diminish and facial lines, folds and wrinkles occur. This decrease in volume gets emphasized as we age, but with dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM® we are able to add volume back to the face.
These FDA approved dermal fillers fill and correct small lines, crows feet, and wrinkles around the nose and mouth by creating volume and a creating a healthier looking appearance.
JUVÉDERM® is a smooth injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid and is used for moderate to severe facial wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the skin to help hydrate and add volume. When JUVÉDERM® is injected it will instantly smooth the skin providing a natural look and feel.
The JUVÉDERM® injection procedure takes about 30 minutes, but the results appear immediately and last between 12-18 months. Once JUVÉDERM® is injected an ice pack can be applied. It is important to follow post-care instructions by avoiding the sun or excessive heat exposure, strenuous exercise or alcohol for 24 hours
